Still Waiting For Answers...

Since my last post about what is going on with my health in May, things haven't changed much. I did receive a diagnosis of mild obstructive sleep apnea, but we aren't treating it until we know what is going on with my lungs (treatment for the apnea can make some lung conditions worse).   I saw the hematologist mid-June and after a frustratingly long appointment, I learned that my platelet count is still high. The pulmonologist has referred me to an infectious diseases specialist, to do more with determining the source of my lung issues. I'll see this new specialist in early August. Then I get to see the hematologist again the following week.

I can tell that my breathing is getting stronger - I'm using the inhaler less (it's an as-needed) and I'm able to walk, albeit slowly, through the store again. While I'm not at 100%, I can see and feel the progress. I'm able to mow a whole yard, though I do still have to take breaks to catch my breath on humid or high pollen/ mold days. I can even babysit and (mostly) keep up with my youngest niece.

I was able to camp at Audiofeed this year, which was not expected at one point. The original direction was that I could "camp" at a hotel, then about a month pre-fest, it became camping in an RV. It was only in the last couple of weeks before we left that I was cleared for tent camping. Thankfully, we were able to borrow a friend's larger tent and a cot from another friend so that while I was camping, I wasn't sleeping directly on the ground like I used to.
